Hair in the gum is one of the banes of gum printing. The only way I have ever
gotten rid of them is keep on brushing and hopefully move the jair out of the
image area. The best blending brush I have found are "Elephant " brushes.
These are made in France and are used to paint houses. After the first few
uses they hardly every shed at all unlike Hake brushes (even the expensive
ones) and elephant brushes are a lot less expensive (a 4 inch wide was around
$10) Although I found mine in a local art supply store, I have seen them in
the Daniel Smith catalog.
