Dick Sullivan says that his experience is that the oxalic acid leaves crystaline
deposits on the fibers of the paper. i wonder if that might be because the paper
had not been washed enough or whether oxalic acid has some strange affinity for
cellulose fiber. I suppose that is another test to put on the list of things to
do !
