I'm embarking on a long-term project to find suitable
processes for making my current work more permanent and
esthetically satisfying. This summer I'll be trying
paltinum/palladium, tri-color gum bichromate, and
(hopefully) blue/brown cyanotype printing from digitally
produced negatives.
As a beginner in (coating) platinum/palladium, I'd like to
try to eliminate at least one variable (hand-coating) as I
proceed to experiment with moving my images into other
alternative processes. Once I settle on a photo-media (or
two) I'll probably extend my skills and delve deeper into
that particular process, but for now I'd like to pretend to
have a life outside school & art production.
