"The standard mix is of course used without the pigment included for the
size, and the average exposure was found to be 10 to 15 secs, although I
watch my students like a hawk, we got from time to time exposures of 10 to
15 mins, giving us a nice chocolate brown colour, this things are
inevitable in a college situation, and gives us all a giggle ;-).
You can only use this sizing method once,
otherwise an unpleasant Dichromate stain builds up, resulting in a
degradation of the image."<

I take your point, but if you did for some reason, there would be an
inevitable build up of dichromated stain.

trying out other brand names , I believe our emulsion paint is called

rubber goods,how exciting ! .;-)"<

I have tried this size but rejected it,I found that it tends to attract
pigment stain ie , it has an infinity for our gloy gum emulsion, are you
asking whether the polyurethane is archival or the dulux delight is
archival the simple answer to this is I don't know,
in either case, at my age this question has little importance ;-) Perhaps
our conservator friends could help us out in providing expert opinion
