Here at our College we use a still. These are available from scientific
supply houses. For the work I do at home, I use an activated carbon filter
system that it much less expensive and easy to install. Inso far as I can
determine (simple tests), it gives me water that is as pure as the distilled
water at the College. One can also buy 1 gal and 5 gallon jugs of distilled
water at the super market for about $1.00 / gal. Hope this helps.
