My opinion- I use a timer on my UV light. Unless you are using extreemly
short exposure times (not likely) I wouldn't concern myself over this. The
mercury arc inside the tube does tend to stabilaze as it heats up but it
does this very quickly. Line voltage variation is very minor and has
little effect. Now I know someone is going to write in with a long
technical explaination of why I am wrong, but I really feel that this
is a mountain and molehill situation. If you have an incident light meter
you might try making a few measurements (it will respond to UV).
