I have used a foam brayer in all my alt-photo work for a a number of
years, they are great fun and speed the process of inking no end , my
students find then very easy to use and it is an ideal way to start the
sometimes fraught task of inking. You will find full reference in my book
Creative sun printing published by Focal Press 1980
sadly now out of print, however I have written an article which covers all
aspects for the APR 2 recently, which if you send me a fax no I will send
to you a copy, or alternatively you could ask Keith Dugdale to send you a
back copy :-

PS I find the best foam rollers come from decorating or D.I.Y. stores and
they are cheap cheap :-)
