That tip from some list member re Kodak photo-resist seems a good way to go,
if you wanna make an enlarged negative (positive?- don't know the exact
process...). Given yer description of image, the laserprint transfer method
i described might be appropriate, too, warts and all (i found it worked best
if i gave the copper some "tooth" with pumice or sumpin, otherwise *very*
funky- i wiped acetone and other solvents on the back of the laserprint to
make it "let go"- heat would work too, esp. if you can prevent the toner
from sticking too good in the first place- photocopies should work, too)...

also i think Graham Nash has made Iris prints on aluminum sheets, copper
should work, too...

BTW, "spiri" is Ellis island abomination of Italian spiridigliozzi, "spirit
of the eyes", not bad for a visual artist, if it didn't cost money i'd
change it back...
