Wyndstone Vellum & crinkling in Pt/Pd

For the three and 5 pt Wyndstone vellums, the crinkling was rigid and severe
and I was not able to flatten them at all. However the thinnest weight which I
recall was 2.5 was totally flat and was quite beautiful.So much so that I
ordered more vellum. I will try coating the other side. I have had problems with
translucent papers such as Bienfang showing slight ripples and not laying flat
in the past. I have found Edwald Print Flattener helpful in this situation and
the Bienfang does definately lie flat in a 1:12 dilution. I called Edwald and
they swear it is archival, at least for silver gelatine. Does anyone know if
this is true?
