The post on copper that became blue eludes my fleeting memory ... however,
one of my good friends lives @ the edge of the Pacific Ocean w/a snappy
view of the Golden Gate Bridge. She built a wall in her backyard where you
can stand and chuck stones into the surf a hundred feet (30 metres)
below.The wall was covered with copper sheething ( a rather eccentric wall
material ) and within lickety split time, the wal turned this wonderfully
scrumptious blue. Salts perhaps? Iodine? Just making the connection makes
me think of the taste of wild copper. Bitter! Also, iF you REALLY get
scared ... that wild same taste appears in your mouth. Now, if you just
lick the copper of a daguerrotype will the sky be blue?
