What is a Argyrotype?

Is there a good photochem cookbook, prefering 19th century type, out on the net?

And is there a prefered film/develper combination that you use to get a
good working neg for salted paper prints?

Anyone have luck with Albumen prints? Or an experience with Albumen Works
products?

I just found this list, and I feel very much like a kid in a candy store.
I've done cyanotypes, gum, and salted paper over the last few years using
various large formats. In my humble opionon, paper out of the box can't
touch alternate processes. And the 19th century eye. I have a small
collection of 19th century photochemical books with toners how-to's such as
uranium and lead (oh, what fun!) baths, so I'd love to pitch-in to the
group.

Hello to all
John
