Yes.

Probably is with the paper. You pour until the paper is covered.

Because unless you work in an ambient temperature at that of the gelatine or
above the gelatine will gel before it has levelled out. Try brushing or rolling
jell(y)(o).

Sounds fine. It's just that lining paper tends to be thinner than normal wall
paper. Could you post where you get your lining paper from as it appears to be
an unknown quantity on Manhattan.
