I have played with the SX-70 manipulations. Favorite tools are a greenware
clay cleaning tool with small ball heads on each end, in different sizes,
and a wooden hari pick with a ball on one end and a dull point on the other
end. Other tools I use are crochet hooks, any other clay tools, butter
knife, transfer type burnisher.

I like to obliterate the background while the print is setting up, then
mush around in the main image. I either do radiating halos or cross hatch
backgrounds. I don't manipulate faces, but do mush up the hair and the
clothes. I find working on the hood of a hot car lets you work longer.

I rub hard on the backgrounds, but treat the regular image gently.

Have fun.
