Certain combinations of developers and clearing agents work well together and
some do not. When using Ammoniam Citrate developer, EDTA tends to work well.
If you use Potassium Oxalate developer, EDTA will not work well. Especially
on Platine paper, the EDTA will not clear out the yellow stain. Sodium
Sulfite should help clear the stain.
When working on a negative that is thin in the shadows, the resulting print
will almost look like there is splotchy film of grey over the deep shadows.
A better negative would solve this problem.
