glossy to satin

I made some Polaroid emulsion and image transfers -the idea of these transfers
were triggered by a sentence on the list of '...comes near to a gum print...'-;
I seldomly had such a strong feeling of 'the next one is the better one'. So
the next one is still in the air. From both methods, the emulsion transfer is
an easy one, but the result is a glossy image on a nice Arches hot pressed
paper . How to make it satin i.s.o. glossy. (there was an archive very long
ago...,but I am not sure about, and I have not the slightest idea for a search
key or date)
