First off, thank you all so much for filling my binder with a thick pile of
great responses to my initial plea for assistance. I'm on my way!
My first trip to the Home Depot was a bit of a disappointment - they only
carry lithonia units, and osram/sylvania bulbs
I've found the beginnings at least - a lithonia 20watt 24" unit is $15.75
canadian (single bulb unit), but it's called Low Power Factor, whereas
others are called Energy Savings Units. Can anyone help me on the difference
here, noone at the store could (arghh!)
they had 48" 350 blacklight F40/350BL 40 watt bulbs, with 24" out of stock.
does anyone know what the F40 and 350FL means? Once again, no lighting
expert at the store. These bulbs, unlit, had a frosted white glass, looking
no different from any other standard cool white bulb.
Off to Home Hardware.
