You said:

I just think that it is about time that we brought this episode to a close.

I should not have asked that question. I apologise.

Sometimes I had to evaluate the work of scientists in the real world using
similar criteria.

Stains can arise for a number of reasons not necessarily associated with the
paper. But if one does not have these problems with one's own paper it may be
helpful to say so.

><Subsequent to that, in another discussion you stated that you didn't

Watching other people whose work I respect and comparing their results with my
own experiments I arrived at a combination that suited me. I probably said that
I found them better rather than that they were better.

I had made the judgement in the way you suggest it should be made.

I am never satisfied and I am always ready to learn. That is why I subscribe to
this list. In return I try to help others.

>And now I agree; this has gone on long enough.

I hope it has finished ! If it has, I assume that I will not be the only one
to sigh with relief.

I think that I will unsubscribe from PHOTOART again if one liners lead to all
this hoo-ha.
