Dunno that marbles are a great idea. Might work, but would expect the action
to be slower at the very least.

You can get the ceramic media through jeweler's supply houses, like Rio
Grande in Albequerque New Maxico. As for the tumbler, you can probably pick
up an old Lortone rock tumbler (about a quart capacity) for cheap at a garage
sale, and then replace the rubber drum w/ a section of 6" ABS plastic pipe
with a couple of endcaps. (I'm coming from the other direction of the
original post - I have an old rock tumbler, and am thinking of using for a
tube processing base..;)
