Amidol is VERY expensive nowadays. I first used it in 1967 when
searching for the UNIVERSAL truth. Never did find that...but, Amidol
developed film beautifully with superb transitional tones and great
tight grain. Developed the prints in the stuff too. Ultimately, at my
youth-fool age, it was easier to use more easy to obtain chemistry. The
other universal truth was color neg film. It had latitude, you could
make color prints, color slides or b/w prints.
Truth is booty.
