Instead of applying the nasty, icky solvents which are eating away you
vital life essence directly onto the back of the xerox you want to
transfer, soak a piece of good quality printmaking paper (like Rives BFK)
with the stuff and then let it air dry for awhile, until the surface is
no longer shiny or wet. Put the xerox face down on the surface you are
transfering to, and then put the sheet soaked in solvent on top. If you
are using a litho press, use medium pressure. If you are using an
etching press, use medium to light pressure, old blankets, and a few
sheets of scrap paper to absorb the excess solvent.
Xerox transfer can be used in on litho plates and/or stones and on
etching plates.
