UTC versus GMT

No, UTC is coordinated universal time. I think there may be a couple of seconds
difference between UTC and GMT time. If you want more information on this, my
colleagues in the time and frequency division at the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) can explain this. I think there is some
information about the time standards on our web site: http://www.nist.gov, but
I haven't checked recently. They also have a neat little program that sets the
clock on your PC against the atomic clock.
