Usually something that puts out more UV than average. Florescent tubes work,
and seem to be the most common source used by people on this list.

I've recently been shopping around for parts to build an exposure unit. So far,
I have found florescent fixtures (without tubes) for $8.00 each. This looks
like the way to go if you want florescent tubes, since the parts sold separately
cost considerably more. You also get to choose the tubes you want to put into
them. The mercury vapor yard lights also look attractive. A 175W unit costs
about $30 and looks like it would put out about as much light as a bank of
florescent tubes, so this may be the cheaper alternative.

A good hardware store should have what you need. The prices I'm quoting above
are from the local Hugh M. Woods building supply store.
