My first job after discharge from the USMC in 1964 was as a custom printer
for Producers Film Labs in Hollywood Ca. Besides the guys putting one of
those full sized foil filled flash bulbs in my D2 Enlarger on my first day,
(they even go off with a bang,) I saw one of the old timers put a spoonful
of potassium bromide in a glass, add water, and drink. He did this two or
three times day. I've been told that it's the stuff that had to be taken out
of Bromo Seltzer for being a slight narcotic and addictive.

I wonder if it shows up in your urine tests?
