Has anyone had any luck getting an emulsion of gum bichromate to stick
to
a metal support? I've found several *large* sheets of copper-clad
fiberglass - used for electronic circuit boards. Could the copper be
roughed up enough to provide a sufficient tooth?

Hi Peter,
You do NOT need a tooth. Quite opposite - you should actually make the
copper as smooth as possible. If you can see your reflection in the
plate - the emulsion will adhere like a glue.
