Mac,

You can use an unsized (waterleaf) paper such as the BFK that comes in
rolls or Arches 88 and coat by saturating the paper from the back side.
It will be very heavy, like a wet blotter (well, I guess that is what it
is). The main problem is drying it. I solved that for myself by
constructing a glass sided drying box with negative pressure inside
(three muffin fans) and using ruby infrared lamps shining in through the
glass.

Blues are unbelieveably rich and deep, and of course, exposures are
invariably on the extra long side, and you need a really strong negative
to support the exposure that will yield those blues.
