To all,

I just want to say thanks to all list members who responded to my post on
T-Max 400. There were no flames, just intelligent and honest opinion. It was
great. Lets do it all the time. Just a few more quick comments. With T-Max 400
I use
Kodak's recommended times and temperatures with T-Max developer for roll
films except I use 24.5 degrees centigrade instead of 24.0 degrees and 6
minutes developing time in daylight tanks with agitation every 30 sec.
For sheet film I use D76 at 20 degrees C. at the time recommended on the sheet
that comes with the film. This is for silver prints. Only my beginning students
are restricted to one film. In the advanced class various films are discussed
including Tri-X and HP5 as well as various developers. The beginning students
do get a break, that is, I let them use a polycontrast RC paper. In the
advanced class they must use a "fine art" paper. The advanced class students
are introduced to Mr. View Camera and sheet film. Various film and paper
developers are also discussed. Processing film for alt. process printing is
also a subject in the advanced class.
