<I liken making alt. process print with riding a bicycle. Before you get
it,
everything goes wrong. No matter how others explain to you, you just can't
get
it right; then some day you get it, and you get it, and you get it. It is
hard
to explain what you know before and after you get it, but you just get it.>

I have been working with Carbro printing for a couple of years, and I
can certainly attest to your comments. If you are looking for a process
that looks easy and is not easy, this is the one. There are so many
variables, and they are not easily separated or identified, that correcting
a procedure becomes a mystery. I must say though, that when one comes out
right,
it is beautiful in a manner that is difficult to describe and worth all
the effort. I havent tried Carbon yet because of all the rigaramarole
involved with enlarged negatives. Someday I hope to "get it"
Cheers,
John Dixon
