The Studio Gallery of San Diego (Old Town, Tel: 619-294-9880 or
888-294-9880) will host a one-man show entitled, "Sticks and Stones,"
by alternative process photographer, Karl P. Koenig. An extensive
selection of Karl's gumoil photographs (Pictorialist and romantic, for
the most part) will open with an artist's talk on the evening of
February 26 and the show runs through March 26.

The Studio Galleries (and their corporate owner LJE, Inc. of
California) will also sponsor an exhibit of gumoil photography at
Artexpo New York in the Jacob Javits Center, March 5-9.

Another exhibition of gumoil work will be presented at Basel Messe
(Switzerland) in what is billed as the world's premier art fair. This
runs from June 10-15. It can be found on the internet for details.

Finally, the Studio Galleries have scheduled other exhibits of Koenig's
work this year in Santa Fe, San Francisco and Laguna Beach.

I invite alternative process photographers to visit any of these
venues, see the work, and send me critical feedback. At the least, I
hope that readers of this list will be encouraged to learn that a major
art enterprise (in this case LJE) is willing to make a significant
commitment to and for an alternative process photographer's work. Your
remarks can be addressed to me at the internet list, kpkoe@swcp.com ,
or at karlkoenig@aol.com. </bigger></bigger></fontfamily>
