DEDICATION

Hi All,
I have devised a little excercise which calls for a small ammount of
"dedication" from two gentlemen, both well known, on this list, for their
eagerness to pursue and discover facts about photographic matters. The
dedication bit should take about one hour (maximum) of their time in
preparing:-
A small tray of Cold Water, for a
print soak of 10 minutes, followed by a
30 degree centigrade water soak of 5 minutes (pour water out of tray) and
repeat a
30 degree centigrade water soak of 5 minutes, followed by
the dexterous use of a broad soft haired brush to remove surplus pigment on
one of my undeveloped I.C.I (Interfaced Carbon Image) prints which some of
you may be aware is a highly evolved version of a Direct carbon process by
Dr.C.Badrinathan published in the Royal Photographic Society journal May/June
1978, entitled
"The Direct Carbon or Fresson Process."
The print to be worked on has been exposed through a negative onto
paper from the same sheet which I have used to produce another very
"acceptable" result by the method described above.
Two pieces of the same undeveloped print TORN IN HALF are on their way
by snail mail and should arrive with these dedicated gentlemen in about a
week, or so.
I would be most grateful if the guys I have involved would let us, on
the list, know what the results are of their respective excercises which
should take no longer than a short session at the keyboard, writing emails.
For those of you who have previously requested my free sample offer
from October 96, or thereabouts, I will be sending similar undeveloped prints
to all those still with an interest. I still have your addresses but would be
pleased to hear from anyone PRIVATELY on this issue as I have had to re-vamp
my original offer due to many domestic problems including illness from which I
have now recovered.
"Keep right on...............
Best Wishes. Photographist. John Grocott (London U.K.)
