> The 1998 Workshops on Bromoil and Transfer with David W. Lewis and Jurgen
Lorenzen will be April 22 thru 25 in Summersville, West Virginia, about a
day's drive from most major eastern US cities. The workshop consists of
intensive hands-on instruction in this antique pigment process by David W.
Lewis, noted master of the process and author of the most comprehensive

a Master of Photography who has worked in the bromoil process and with
David Lewis for over six years. Students work with David and Jurgen in a
comfortable environment with complete darkroom access, make matrices from
their own negatives, and learn the inking process the old master's way with
modern papers and black and colored inks. Class is limited to 8 students.
Fee is $500 per student (includes paper and chemistry for the workshop)
All bromoil supplies can be purchased at the workshop. For more
