As tempting as it would be to ignore the threat to us all by the Sturges
persecution to indulge a debate over aesthetics, politics, religion or
platinum vs silver printing, the issue here is The Law.

Jock is doing what the law has protected him, or us, to do.

The issue is simply whether or not artists are free to work without
harassement.

We are helpless against vigilantes who recognize that their attacks may
ruin us long before we can reach the courthouse. They are free to
exploit 'due process', unaccountable for their destruction.

To consider this a time for debate is to endorse the hyenas pursuing
Jock. Lacking the rule of Law, we will lose the right to debate let
alone the right to use our cameras as we see fit.
