Cor,

I don't remember what information the original post contained. However, a
few ccs per 1000ml of solution of a 10% thymol/alcohol mixture works well
as a preservative with some applications I am familiar with, gum and carbon
printing. In making carbon tissue, for example, I add about 5cc of this
solution to the hot geltin/pigment mixture before coating.
