Not really. I suppose you could try nose grease :*) But seriously,
thinking about the problem it would seem that minimizing the scratch
would depend on:

* The depth of the scratch

* The location of the scratch (lamp side / neg-print side)

* The edges (or surface if you will) of the scratch

A scratch "prints" out because the light passing through the scratch
is refracted at different angles than the area surrounding it.
Additionally, and I am speculating a bit here, there might be some
reflection across the internal surfaces of the scratch. Filling the
scratch with some substance like a hard wax or clear resin would
mitigate the effects from both refraction and reflection to some
degree; possibly even "eliminating" the problem if the scratch is on
the lamp side of the glass.

You might try asking your question in the USENET news groups sci.astro
and/or sci.astro.amateur. I have found people "there" to be most
helpful with regards to questions about glass, mirrors and optics.
