You first mentioned your project on this list but we both have been working
on this for some time. We are all gentlemen. Take it for the year 2000; we
would like to take it for 2001 even though we would not have the supporting
benefit of the "Mois de la Photo a Paris" (Month of Photography in Paris)
or of the "Mois Off de Paris".

I propose that for the future, in order to save everybody's time, the
calendar of events should be established well ahead of time, perhaps by a
committee on the list.<

Martin's note shows a highly commendable magnaminity. There are not that
many of us. Two APISs in one year would have spread things very thinly. I
believe that Karl-Heinze put forward the idea of an APIS in Cologne even
before APIS 1997.

We also should not forget the need to take account of interest in different
continents.
