APIS 98 WILL GO ahead as planned, July 16 to 19 in Oporto , Portugal.
By not knowing in time who will come I shall not be able to negotiate
special hotel rates, sponsorship for exhibits etc., but APIS will still
take place.
The exact location will now depend on how many people will confirm and when.
If we do not have more than 20 participants we may end up in a Port Wine
farm, converted to a hotel, overlooking the Douro river talking about we
do, while we sip Port wine all day long. A poor compensation for the lack
of participants, as far as I am concerned.
The final program can only be defined when when I am sure about who will be
here, but I still think that the proposed format should stand, even if with
some adaptation.
