Last night I whipped up a batch of the Ware New Cyanotype formula. After
coating a piece of paper and letting dry for an hour, the exposure time
ran about 35 minutes, which I know is wrong. I never got a good
intense blue tone anywhere, even after development. During
development and drying, the overall print actually faded. It was also
very difficult to wash the dichromate stain away.

The only problem I encountered while making the formula was the
introduction of the 10g of finely powedered Potassium Ferricyanide. It
clumped rather quickly, even with vigorous stirring, and the entire
solution was at about 90F. I ended up heating the solution to 125F to get
most of it to dissolve. After the settle-out, there were several clumps
of green crystals that, when broken apart, had a red crystal center.
