Bromoil

I'm trying to gather some information before making some Bromoil prints.
I am planning on using a liquid emulsion (Liquid Light or Silverprint)
on watercolor paper. I read in Keepers of the Light that one should use
a non hardening developer. Is this important and if so what developer
should be used?
