I think it depends on how the process is designed. Ultrastable (assuming
it is a diazo based product) is a quite low contrast material with a log
exposure range well in excess of 1.5 density units and that is not kodalith
contrast.
I have also used Nazdar sensitizer 101 with gelatine and like dichromate
it can give a range of contrasts. It's problem being that I have not found a
way to bleach or dissolve the the diazo stain.
