Epson Negatives

The backlight film appears to be a very thin sheet of thier glossy photo
paper. It has a white base (density .38).

It prints in 1440 mode setting in the driver, I dont recall the 800
having this setting, with an 800 you'd have to experiment but I'd try
the glossy photo film 1440 mode.

You can order it direct from Epson in the USA from 1-800-873-7766. It's
expensive, 10 sheets of A3 sixe was $48. I'm cutting off 4x6 pieces for
my grayscales.

I dont know how this will work as a negative yet, hope to get some time
this weekend to work some more on this and maybe try some Ziatypes.

I still need to develop transfer curves for a 2.2 nominal density range,
check out how sharp it is, figure out a tritone setting that will make
the most use of the light inks in the negative highlights, and whatever
else I'm sure I'll run into that I havnt thought of yet.

I'll keep you all posted but it may be slow going due to time
constraints.
