Phil Davis used what he called "bomb grade" hydrogen peroxide added drop at
a time into a ferrous solution with the container packed in ice to slow
things down.

If you are referring to relatively pure Hydrogen Peroxide, I have had
experience with this material. When I was photographing auto races, an
acquaintance used to demonstrate his rocket go-cart. Basically, it was a
machined tube with a pure platinum lining. When the Peroxide was introduced
to the engine's chamber, it would react with the Peroxide and spontaneously
ignite. The little car would fire up for about 6 seconds and the speed at
the timers was about 160 or so miles per hour. Don't worry, the peroxide
used was about 60% pure and hard to locate. BTW: The famous Rocket Jet
Packs demonstrated in the 60's at fairs and so forth used a similiar type
of material.

Say, I mentioned photography of auto races and Platinum. Guess the post
applies after all.
