Liquid Light/Bromoil

I just thought that I knew how to handle Liquid Light properly.
My first try-outs with Arches and Fabriano papers sized with Liquid Light
emulsion works promising. I mean , the sizing was a complete mess, I sensitized
nearly everything, my trousers, my nose, just the paper was a bit uneven.
The normal procedure of preparing the matrix -bleaching,tanning,fixing etc.-
was partly ok. Just a small part of the emulsion was lost -ok I cannot show the
results to the amputated person on the picture-, but the relief after soaking
was really great and inking with a brush was a joy, after years of reading,
finally I understood what the old guys tried to tell us.
But why the hell did the emulsion went completely in to the sink when I did the
second try??? No mess, everything under control. I mean, it is still a burden
to size white stuff onto white paper under red safe light conditions -any tip
is welcome!- but what can I do to let the stuff stick to the paper.
Thanks for any help.
