apis photograph at Lacock Abbey

I followed this up, having written about it and APIS for Photo:Techniques
last year and discovered that something had gone amiss about either the
photograph or its reproduction. It was made to sound by Richard Morris
when he answered that a print would, eventually, be forthcoming. It is now
a year so I doubt it rather seriously. Too bad...posing for three or four
minutes at a time was a memorable event and one would like to have seen the
salty results.

I have a picture of the whole group in that article (printed in Van Dyke).

I have some hope that there will be another APIS now that Portugal has
failed. It does look as though Dick Sullivan is going to have it planned
well and it will be held next year in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It sounds like
he will have the College of Santa Fe virtually roped off for our
edification, dorming, and delectation.

The APIS 97 held in Bath was a good experience, especially for those of us
new to the group. With tighter scheduling and air conditioning the APIS 99
looks good. Karl
