Point well taken. I guess I think of ALT processes as ALT as in German,
meaning old. But it certainly is non-silver, if ALT means any non-silver
photographic process. Actually this is the thread that was going on when
I came onto this list a few days ago, or was that back in the archives?

Katherine. The discussion was about which of the process we use can be
considered as "alternative" photography. Some of us think it came about in the
late 60's as a reaction to F-64. The idea was that processes that do not use
silver bromide are alternative methods of print making. I would add Photo
Tempra and Gumoil to the list. Ernie
