Hi, again ,All. I feel a song coming on! What?..... You don't?
As I sit here and press these keys wondering if my thoughts( and feelings) can
possibly be transmitted to so many people, globally, I must admit a certain
gratefulness that you are all so different from each other in so many ways
.And yet..........so similar.
The most recent addition, Katherine Thayer, just delivered an amazing personal
expose of her reactions to her WELCOME ( all those who answered her thought
they were acting properly by turning things into an attempted caucous on GUM -
Judy's suggestion). It appeared to seem like enormous patronizing to
Katherine. Then, Photo Dave kicked in with that rationalization> If you don't
feel that it
>is related to what you started, just ignore and it will be fine. Many many
>times a thread just became a discussion in itself without necessarily being
>the intent of the person who started it.
Yes, Katherine, it takes some time and a whole lot of respect from many
great minds before it's possible to be completely ignored when posting to this
list. For whatever reason you now subscribe to this list and for whatever the
prominent voices have answered ( some say it is about alternative photography)
I hope you will eventually not regret diverting your attention away from your
successful gum printing activities to take part in this VERY NEW mode of self
publishing readers' write column game.It stretches your tolerance and you
learn much about communication. (and y/self((ego)) )
Best wishes, Katherine. I do gum printong without gum.(Yes,
*printong*)
