Likely not as simple as it might sound at first. Since the scanner has a
bright internal light you would at very least need to find a way to turn it
off and would most likely need to have a much brighter light box than the
one I have (knox). Also might need continuous spectrum bulbs.

Hi folks,
Is it possible to use a normal flatbed scanner with an inverted lightbox on
top (which most of us have already) to scan 4x5 negs? Has anyone tried it?
I'd do the experiment, but I haven't bought a scanner yet.
