I paid $1800 for the Nikon LS2000.... It is the "better" film scanner made by
Nikon... they have since come out with another model for aroun $900, but this
one still stands as their "top of the line" consumer model.

I find it quite amazing what these film scanners can do. They seem to pull an
awful lot of detail out of negatives/positives.... both in shadow and
highlight areas.
