I also use the EM-10 for printing, but must warn that you cannot use it for
direct density readings. I plotted my readings against a calibrated 31-step
tablet, and found that the EM-10 is very definitly not linear. It has a
beautiful curve, sweeping in a gracefull arc.

It is great for saving time while printing, as others have mentioned, and I
would not want to be without it, but do not rely on the dial readings to give
any kind of other uses.
