Hi,

If you just wish to experiment with p.o.p. papers and the images that they
produce .... then why not save a few bucks and use ordinary enlarging
(develop out) paper instead!!

Just load a sheet of Ilford Multigrade paper (or whatever you have to hand)
into a contact frame with your negative under normal safelight conditions
and expose to ultra violet light. Check the print out from time to time,
again under safelight conditions, although once exposed to u/v light the
paper does become de-sensitised, and fix when the image appears marginally
over exposed as there is some density loss and cooling of the colours
during fixation.

The print may be subsequently toned, however the resultant beautiful
colours which often present themselves make this step uneccesary. Warm
chloro-bromide papers (Ilford MG Warmtone FB is a particular favourite)
tend to be more colourful than bromide papers but this is a great technique
for using up your scraps of out dated paper.

                Regards.....Tony McLean.
