and i looked up this in Kodak's Quality Enlarging to establish another frame
of reference:

"To make sure that the paper base will last as long as the silver image that
it carries, kodak workers make thorough tests at every state in
manufacture---from wood pulp to the finished paper."

seems to me that a sulphite paper made for fine art: drawing, printmaking,
etc... run through our processes is likely as good a print from an archival
point of view as a silver-gelatin? i would tend to think moreso.
