Aristatone is not an ilford product unless it is manufactured by Ilford on
behalf of Agfa.

The data sheets from Freestyle show it to be Avitone from Agfa. The
developers referred to are Gevart formulations so the emulsion may be the
old Gevart 31.

The applications are given as:
"* For making duplicates of continuous tone
negatives. Copies are made with classic contact frames,
e.g. Zeiss KG30 or in electronic dodging equipment.
* For work in orthophotoplotter, a stereoplotter or an
enlarger with rectification device (perspective correction).
* For copying aerial photographs made during
reconnaissance flights.
* For continous tone applications."

Special features:
Avitone P1 p: 0.1mm base
Avitone P 3 p: 0.18mm base
Orthochromatic continuous tone copy films
coated on transparent polyester base with excellent dimensional
stability.

High resolution, very accurate information and excellent definition.
Fine and uniform grain.
Even when a low contrast negative is copied details remain visible.
Gamma can vary between 1.20-1.90 with development time.
Exposure for original negative with dmin 0.3 and dmax 1.25 at 13lux
5 sconds.

Aristone, is plainly a professional grade copy film which is available in
large sizes.
It may be that the main maket now for continous tone film is military and
aerial survey work.
